A meeting in which experts of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) thanked representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) for their cooperation and presented preliminary results of the audit, concluded a 7-day coordinated mission for the validation of compliance with ICAO standards in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which lasted from 18-25 February 2019. The meeting noted significant progress which, in comparison with the comprehensive audit of 2011, shows an increased degree of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s compliance with the requirements of ICAO standards. Official results of the ICVM will be made available in 90 days, after which the BHDCA will comment on the findings and develop a corrective action plan for the observed non-compliances, with their correction deadlines. • • Details Published: 15 January 2019 The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to airline Fly Bosnia, in accordance with the relevant procedure, having applied the provisions of Articles 15 and 93 of the Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and pursuant to the Rulebook establishing technical requirements and administrative procedures relating to flight operations.
With the issuance of the AOC and its related solution, the operator of Fly Bosnia is authorized to perform commercial air transport operations of passengers, goods and mail. Issuance of an Air Operator Certificate is one of the most complex processes and procedures implemented by the BHDCA. In line with its responsibilities, the BHDCA offered a great deal of support, assistance and understanding to Fly Bosnia in their efforts to fulfil all of the prescribed requirements for issuance of an Air Operator Certificate and to commence operations.
