The LGS-30 features a twist throttle which, once turned fully on, can be throttled towards the off position to reduce the impact force on the stylus when marking on softer metals or if very fine marks are to be made. A medium point stylus is furnished with each new tool. Replaceable carbide styluses are available with fine, medium or coarse tips.

It is recommended that any time a part containing an 'O' ring is disassembled, that the 'O' ring be replaced at the same time. A Filter/Regulator/Lubricator unit is essential for minimizing maintenance and extending tool life.
